Have you ever been walking home enjoying the sunset behind Lookout Mountain when your mind boils over with the thought of how fucking amazing, how heart vaporizingly beautiful, the universe is, how lucky you are that for a cosmic nanosecond you have become a speck of the universe striving to understand itself ...
... and what a colossal shame it is that we spend so much of these minuscule, effervescent lives being complete assholes to each other?
Me, neither.
(Just kidding. I had exactly this thought.)

Good thoughts. would have appreciated it more with better choice of words
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. In this case I think the intensity of the thought requires intensity of language. But I apologize if my choice of the words "nanosecond" and "effervescent" is offensive to some people.
DeleteSeriously, though, I'm not normally much of a swearing sort of person, but in some rare instances those are the best choice of words. This was one of those instances.
DeleteI thought it was a well said thought. This is your space and your can express your thoughts the way they come to you. Enjoyed it!
